I keep coming back to my favorite place in Lanquin. The staff returned my forgotten hairbrush on my first stay. Ch'I Bocol Community Hostel has everything I need: Wi-Fi, kitchen, laundry, pool, hiking, beach access. I'm excited to spend New Year's here!

Beds have everything you need, lockers included; local lunch hike lets you meet the villagers ; and the mission to live in harmony with nature is cute, I guess.
Super annoying how they expect you to store your valuables in the lockers. Like, who needs security?

The stunning views from the top of the hill were absolutely breathtaking. Being surrounded by nature and having such a peaceful atmosphere was a definite highlight. the friendly staff and volunteers made my stay more enjoyable. They were helpful and made me feel welcome.
The long walk to the hostel was quite difficult, especially in bad weather. I was also disappointed that there were no easy routes to nearby attractions and that the tours offered were quite expensive.

The location of this hostel is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush jungle and near a peaceful river. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the cozy common area with hammocks and comfy seating. The family-style dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. One of the highlights was the opportunity to hike to a nearby attraction and then tube back to the hostel along the river. It was such a unique and fun experience.
The shuttle prices seemed a bit inconsistent, with some people paying less for the same service. The bathroom was quite far from the bedroom, which could be inconvenient, especially at night.

The view from our room was amazing and the experience of sleeping surrounded by nature left us speechless. We enjoyed swimming in the river and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The staff was polite and helpful, offering a variety of tours and shuttles. The yoga platform with hammocks was a great place to relax.
The second bed in our room was uncomfortable and sunken. The journey to reach the hotel was long and challenging, especially in bad weather.

The mixed dorm rooms at Ch'I Bocol Community Hostel were cozy and comfortable. The bunk beds with single mattresses were a dream come true for a budget traveler like us. We felt right at home in this laid-back and friendly atmosphere.
Personally, I would have preferred a closer bathroom. But hey, everyone has different preferences, right?

Loved the personal light to read my fancy novel while my valuables were safely locked away. Hiking and lunch with locals was a real treat. Totally felt one with nature, like a true hippie.
I just adored trekking in the dark and slipping on slippery paths. So much fun, I wish I could have done it again!
